Israel Murders More Than 200 Palestinians to Rescue 4 Captives in Gaza

Israel carried out on Saturday a rescue operation of four Israeli hostages alive in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, where at least 210 Gazans were killed and more than 400 injured under heavy Israeli fire during the mission.

The Gazan government confirmed and condemned the actions of the Zionist army in the strip, and indicated that more than 400 were injured, according to the victims who have arrived at the hospitals of Al Awda, in the camp, and Martyrs of Al Aqsa, in the nearby city of Deir al Balah.

“We condemn the aggression of the ‘Israeli’ occupation against civilians, children and women, and against safe homes in the Nuseirat camp,” denounced the government of the Palestinian armed resistance in the Gaza Strip.

In addition, the Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas has instructed Palestine’s envoy to the UN to call for an emergency session of the UNSC following Israel’s “bloody massacre” in Gaza’s Nuseirat refugee camp, according to reports of the Palestinian news agency Wafa.

Majed Bamya, Palestinian Deputy Ambassador to the UN said that while people rejoice for the reunification of families in Israel, the world must not forget the more than 200 Palestinians killed in Israel’s attack on the Nuseirat refugee camp.

The Egyptian government has also condemned the Israeli attack in the refugees Nuseirat camp. The Foreign Ministry denounced in a statement that these attacks represent “a flagrant violation of all the provisions of international law”, as well as “of all the values of humanity and human rights”.

He also called on the international community and the UN Security Council to “intervene immediately to stop the Israeli war against the Gaza Strip and take responsible action to end the humanitarian crisis that has claimed the lives of more than 36,000 martyrs.”

Army spokesman Daniel Hagari said it was one of the “most complex operations” in which troops “faced threats under heavy fire”. The mission was approved last Thursday by Netanyahu, although the order to attack two buildings in the center of the camp was given today at 11 local time (8 GMT).
